How Law Firms Can Use An On-Hold Message to Educate and Engage Clients.

Could your law firm use more client engagement?

Yes, of course it can! Today more than ever, business comes down to a phone call. Yes, we live in a world with Facetime, Skype, text message and more. But the need for your clients to hear a human voice is basic to a successful attorney client relationship.

We have to remember that the main goal of any marketing campaign, especially for law firms, is to get new clients.  And the good ole telephone is where you’ll likely be engaging with these prospects.  When a new prospective client calls, you want to make sure to give that call top priority right away and not take a message for someone to call them back.  Your close ratio will increase if you can speak with them during that initial call.  And that may and most likely will involve putting the caller on hold for a brief moment while the appropriate legal assistant or attorney can be summoned to speak with that caller.

Here is where you want to make sure to grab and keep the attention of the caller on your firm, it’s services, recent accomplishments, community outreach efforts, etc.  And the one vehicle that can accomplish this for you is a custom on hold message with music that will speak to your caller when you can’t.

Above is my video interview with Jorge Lazaro Diaz of Larry Jacob Marketing and Family Law Marketing Guru.

Take advantage of that short moment when your new lead is put on hold to  speak with them.  Ideas for your on hold message may include:

  • Recent notable legal accomplishments
  • Highlighting new partners
  • Community service initiatives
  • Continuing education efforts
  • Legal background and education

Today, the firm with the most engagement wins!  And a custom on hold message with music will bring you closer to accomplishing better client engagement.
